Jharkhand Leaders Extend Greetings on Traditional Nature Festival ‘Karma Puja’

Jharkhand News : Jharkhand Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan, Chief Minister Hemant Soren, and BJP state president and Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi extended warm greetings to the people of Jharkhand on the occasion of the tribal festival Karma Puja.

Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan, in a message shared on social media platform X, said, “This traditional festival reflects the bond between brothers and sisters and conveys the message of environmental protection and ecological balance. May this festival bring health, happiness, and prosperity to all.”

Chief Minister Hemant Soren, also taking to X, described Karma as a festival that symbolizes “our rich culture, civilization, and way of life.” He said it reflects the deep connection of the tribal communities with nature and their gratitude towards it.

“Karma is a precious gift passed down by our ancestors. On this day, we pray for prosperity, a good harvest, and a healthy society,” he stated. Emphasizing the tribal ethos, the Chief Minister added that “our lives are deeply connected to water, forest, land, and animals. The festival inspires us to live in harmony with nature and commit to sustainable development.”

Soren called on citizens to preserve cultural traditions, empower society, and pledge to protect the environment.

Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi also conveyed his best wishes, stating that Karma Puja is a “symbol of tribal culture, tradition, and deep-rooted connection with nature.” He urged everyone to take inspiration from the tribal lifestyle and strengthen their commitment to environmental conservation and social harmony.

“May this sacred festival bring peace, prosperity, and happiness to all,” Marandi said in his message.
