Jharkhand Temperature to Cross 30°C, Yellow Alert for Fog in North Districts

Severe Cold Grips Jharkhand, Fog and Cold Wave Alert in 14 Districts

Jharkhand News : Temperatures across several districts of Jharkhand are expected to rise by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius from Tuesday, with the mercury likely to cross the 30°C mark in some areas. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for dense fog in northern districts of the state, including Deoghar, Dumka, Giridih, Jamtara, and Pakur.

According to the weather department, foggy conditions may prevail at isolated places in these northern districts on Tuesday morning, potentially affecting visibility. People have been advised to remain cautious, especially during early morning hours.

In the last 24 hours, Chaibasa recorded the highest temperature in the state at 27°C, while the lowest temperature was recorded at Kanke in Ranchi at 2.5°C. On Monday, Ranchi and nearby areas witnessed clear weather since morning. While severe cold was felt during the early hours, the intensity of sunlight increased as the day progressed. However, light winds maintained a mild chill in the air.

As per official data, Ranchi recorded a maximum temperature of 22.2°C and a minimum of 6.2°C. Jamshedpur reported temperatures of 24.0°C (maximum) and 10.5°C (minimum). Daltonganj recorded 24.8°C and 6.1°C, Bokaro 20.5°C and 6.6°C, Chaibasa 27.0°C and 9.2°C, Khunti 23.6°C and 4.0°C, Lohardaga 21.5°C and 3.7°C, and Latehar recorded a maximum of 18.6°C with a minimum of 8.4°C.

Weather experts indicated that the gradual rise in temperature may reduce cold intensity during the daytime, though mornings and nights are likely to remain chilly in many parts of the state.
