Jharkhand News : In a major initiative aimed at transforming the agricultural landscape of Jharkhand and equipping farmers with modern farming technologies, the state will host its first-ever Jharkhand Agri Trade Fair 2026. The three-day event will be held from June 16 to 18 at Morabadi Ground in Ranchi.
The state’s Chief Minister is scheduled to inaugurate the fair. Agriculture Secretary Abu Bakar Siddiqui met with the Chief Minister and formally invited him to attend the opening ceremony as the chief guest.
Agriculture Minister Reviews Preparations
To assess the preparations for the event, Agriculture Minister Shilpi Neha Tirkey held a high-level meeting with Agriculture Secretary Abu Bakar Siddiqui and other senior officials.
During the meeting, the minister emphasized that the fair should not be treated as a mere formality but as a platform capable of bringing meaningful change to the lives of farmers across the state. She instructed officials to ensure that every farmer attending the event benefits from exposure to new technologies and government schemes.
Expert Guidance for Farmers
According to the minister, more than 50 agricultural scientists, researchers, and experts from across India will participate in the fair. Special workshops will be organized where farmers can directly interact with experts, discuss their challenges, and receive practical solutions.
The fair will not be limited to farming alone. It is also expected to serve as an important platform for agricultural entrepreneurs and traders. Visitors will get to see demonstrations of advanced agricultural machinery and successful farming practices adopted in other states, helping Jharkhand’s farmers learn and implement innovative techniques.
Daily Cultural Programs
To make the event appealing to the general public as well, organizers have planned a series of cultural programs every evening. These performances will showcase Jharkhand’s rich cultural heritage, folk traditions, and artistic diversity.
The event is expected to create awareness among farmers about new agricultural innovations, research developments, and modern farming opportunities while also celebrating the state’s vibrant culture.
