Jharkhand Weather Alert: Rain, Thunderstorms and Lightning Likely Till September 13

Jharkhand News : The Meteorological Department on Sunday issued a yellow alert for Jharkhand, warning of thunderstorms, rainfall and lightning in different parts of the state until September 13. People have been advised to remain cautious during adverse weather conditions.

According to the weather department, isolated places in north-western and adjoining central districts of Jharkhand may receive heavy rainfall on September 9. Thunderstorms and lightning are also likely during this period. IMD’s recent forecasts have also indicated thunderstorm and lightning activity across Jharkhand, with heavy rain possible in parts of the state during the forecast period.

Heavy Rain Likely in Some Districts

The weather department said weather conditions may remain active in several parts of Jharkhand, with the possibility of rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning.

Residents have been advised to remain alert, particularly during thunderstorms and lightning. The Ranchi Meteorological Centre has also forecast rain and thunderstorm activity in and around the state capital during the coming days.

Amrapara Records Highest Rainfall

During the past 24 hours, the highest rainfall of 14.4 mm in the state was recorded at Amrapara in Pakur district.

The highest temperature was recorded at Baharagora at 35.5 degrees Celsius, while Latehar recorded the lowest temperature at 20.3 degrees Celsius.

Ranchi Remains Hot and Humid

Ranchi and adjoining areas witnessed clear weather from Sunday morning, although heat and humidity persisted throughout the day.

The maximum temperature in Ranchi was recorded at 30 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature stood at 21.9 degrees Celsius.

Temperature Across Major Jharkhand Cities

In Jamshedpur, the maximum temperature was recorded at 35 degrees Celsius and the minimum at 25.4 degrees Celsius.

Daltonganj recorded a maximum temperature of 33 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 25.7 degrees Celsius. In Bokaro, the maximum temperature was 33.2 degrees Celsius, while the minimum was 25.1 degrees Celsius.

Chaibasa recorded a maximum temperature of 34.8 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 23 degrees Celsius.

The IMD’s current weather information for Jharkhand continues to show active weather conditions across major parts of the state.
