- Seraikela-Kharsawan native to take charge on April 1, 2027; CM says appointment will strengthen Jharkhand–Infosys partnership
Jharkhand News : Ashish Kumar Das, a native of Rajnagar in Seraikela-Kharsawan district of Jharkhand, has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Infosys. He will assume office on April 1, 2027, for a five-year term.
Das has been associated with Infosys for several years and has held several key leadership positions within the company. His extensive experience in technology, digital transformation and global business strategy is seen as a key factor behind his elevation to the company’s top executive role.
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren congratulated Das on social media platform X, describing the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of his visionary leadership, commitment to innovation and significant contributions to one of India’s most respected global technology companies.
Recalling his interaction with Das during the World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting in Davos, Soren said they had discussed the use of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies to transform Jharkhand’s mining sector, strengthen digital governance and equip the state’s youth with future-ready skills.
Expressing confidence in Das’s leadership, the Chief Minister said the partnership between Jharkhand and Infosys would grow stronger, creating new opportunities for innovation, skill development and technology-driven inclusive growth. He wished Das success in his new role and expressed hope that his tenure would contribute to the state’s digital and economic development.
