Jharkhand News : In a significant step towards promoting skill development and employment among project-affected communities, the Jitpur Mining Project has facilitated the selection of three youths from Sundarpahari block for a three-year Diploma in Mechatronics under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS).
The selected candidates—Ankit Hembrom of Paharpur village, Bhagat Murmu of Jitpur village, and Sikandar Marandi of Paharpur village—will undergo advanced technical training at the Tata Motors training institute. During the course, they will receive a monthly stipend, enabling them to pursue technical education while achieving financial independence.
The industry-integrated diploma programme is designed to equip trainees with modern mechatronics skills, practical industrial exposure, and hands-on experience. Upon successful completion, the candidates are expected to have enhanced employment prospects in India’s automobile and manufacturing sectors.
According to the project management, the achievement reflects the Jitpur Mining Project’s continued commitment to creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for project-affected families through technical education and skill development.
The selection process was supported through sustained guidance, counselling, and mentoring by the project’s CSR team under the leadership of Project Head Ritesh Tiwari. CSR official Sarabjit Kaur played a key role in counselling the candidates, preparing them for the entrance examination, and building their confidence, contributing to their successful selection.
Beyond skill development, the Jitpur Mining Project has been implementing a range of community development initiatives across the region. These include job-linked skill training programmes, improvements in school infrastructure, health camps, expansion of drinking water and sanitation facilities, women’s empowerment initiatives, promotion of sports and cultural activities, and the development of rural infrastructure.
The project aims to improve the quality of life of project-affected communities while contributing to the overall socio-economic development of the region.
