Jharkhand News : A man was killed and three of his family members were seriously injured in a violent clash over a land dispute in Chitrapur village under the Koderma police station area.
The deceased has been identified as Rajkumar Yadav, who worked as the personal driver of Neera Yadav.
According to reports, an argument broke out between two groups late Wednesday night over a land-related dispute. The confrontation soon turned violent. Rajkumar Yadav was allegedly attacked with a sharp-edged weapon and died on the spot due to his injuries.
Family Members Seriously Injured
Rajkumar’s elderly parents and his young daughter were also allegedly attacked when they tried to intervene and stop the violence. All three sustained serious injuries and were admitted to a hospital for treatment.
Highway Blocked in Protest
The incident triggered outrage in the area. On Thursday morning, angry family members and local residents blocked the Ranchi–Patna National Highway with Rajkumar Yadav’s body, demanding justice.
The road blockade caused long queues of vehicles on both sides of the highway and severely disrupted traffic movement.
Police Launch Investigation
After receiving information about the incident, police and administrative officials reached the spot and attempted to calm the protesters.
Police have launched an investigation into the case and are conducting raids to arrest the accused.
Tension in the Area
Following the incident, tension has prevailed in Chitrapur village and nearby areas. Additional police personnel have been deployed to maintain law and order and prevent any further escalation of the situation.
