Koderma Review Meeting: Strict Action Ordered on Illegal Vehicles, Child Labour

Jharkhand News : A review meeting of duties performed by magistrates under various statutory provisions was held at the Collectorate conference hall under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Rituraj. During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner assessed the actions taken so far by concerned departments and issued necessary directions to ensure stronger enforcement.

The Deputy Commissioner instructed the District Transport Officer and District Mining Officer to conduct proper verification of vehicles seized by police stations and ensure further action strictly as per legal provisions. He made it clear that negligence at any level in cases related to illegal transportation and mining would not be tolerated.

🚨 Focus on Child Labour and COTPA Violations

The Labour Superintendent and the Child Protection Department were directed to carry out regular inspections of shops, hotels, and commercial establishments to curb child labour and child exploitation. Officials were asked to initiate strict legal action against violators without delay.

All Circle Officers were instructed to conduct routine enforcement drives against illegally operated vehicles in their respective jurisdictions. Additionally, officials were directed to ensure strict compliance with provisions of the COTPA Act, including inspections of shops to prevent violations related to tobacco products.

📊 Review of GST-Related Matters

GST-related cases were also reviewed during the meeting, and concerned officials were instructed to take appropriate action wherever irregularities were detected.

The meeting was attended by Superintendent of Police Anudeep Singh, Sub-Divisional Officer Riya Singh, In-charge Officer of the General Branch, District Food Safety Officer Abhishek Anand, along with all Circle Officers and police station in-charges.

The district administration reiterated that enforcement drives will continue regularly and strict action will be taken against violations of law to ensure public safety and compliance.
