Many big changes will be seen in Rinpas soon, all the shortcomings will be removed: Chief Minister

Jharkhand News : Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren announced significant improvements at Ranchi Institute of Neuropsychiatry and Allied Sciences (RINPAS) during the centenary celebrations held Thursday. The CM assured that all infrastructural gaps and academic shortcomings will be addressed to provide state-of-the-art treatment and enhanced facilities for mental health patients.

Speaking at the inaugural session of RINPAS’s 100th anniversary, Soren emphasized the growing importance of mental health institutions amid rising cases of depression and stress. He highlighted the need for advanced counseling and treatment services and assured deployment of the latest digital medical technologies for patient care.

Expressing concern over patients abandoned by families or confined at home, the CM urged greater compassion and accessibility to mental health services. He praised the visionaries who founded RINPAS in 1925 and committed to further strengthening the institute’s service to society.

Key highlights of the event included the release of a commemorative postal stamp, launch of a digital academy, inauguration of tele-mental health video conferencing, and felicitation of retired RINPAS officials for their distinguished service.

The ceremony was attended by Union Minister Sanjay Seth, Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari, senior officials, and mental health experts from NIMHANS Bengaluru.
