Context: Maoist Challenge in India
The Maoist insurgency remains a long-standing internal security challenge in parts of India, particularly in remote and tribal regions with historical development deficits. While security operations combined with infrastructure, education, healthcare, and livelihood initiatives have reduced Maoist influence in recent years, authorities caution that the threat has not been fully eliminated.
Officials emphasized that the current alert is preventive and aimed at ensuring safe and uninterrupted legislative proceedings.
