Jharkhand News : Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir, Dhurwa, Ranchi, organized a Matri Poojan (Mother Worship) ceremony aimed at promoting value-based education and reinstating the emotional bond between children and their mothers, which is often fading in today’s materialistic world.

The event was inaugurated by Dr. Sushma Kumari, In-charge, RIMS Ranchi, along with other distinguished guests through lamp lighting and flower offering. The school’s Vice Principal, Meena Kumari, welcomed the guests and introduced them to the audience. The chief guest was honored with a shawl and a memento.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Sushma Kumari said that “words fall short in defining a mother’s affection.” She added that even a mother’s scolding hides love and concern. Praising the institution, she said Saraswati Shishu Vidya Mandir not only imparts education but also nurtures moral values. “A mother’s loving connection is essential to shaping a child’s character. True social change will come only when children’s values change,” she said, describing a mother as the most precious being, whose place is even above God.
Students performed the Matri Poojan ritual through traditional mantra chanting, and the program concluded with the Kalyan Mantra.
The event was compered by students Shagun and Surabhi of Class V.
Among those present were Shishu Vikas Mandir Samiti President Shakti Nath Lal Das, Joint Secretary Dr. Dhaneshwar Mahato, Treasurer S. Venkat Raman, Ashish Nath Shahdeo, Lal Ashok Nath Shahdeo, Narmdeshwar Mishra, Balram Upadhyay, Vinod Kumar Singh, School Principal Lalan Kumar, and the teaching staff.
