Jharkhand News : The monsoon is expected to remain active across Jharkhand today, with light to moderate rainfall likely in several districts. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), cloudy conditions are expected through the day, while some areas may experience heavy showers, thunderstorms, gusty winds and lightning.
Rain accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds is likely in several districts, including Ranchi, Khunti, Gumla, Simdega, Lohardaga, West Singhbhum, East Singhbhum, Seraikela-Kharsawan, Bokaro, Ramgarh, Hazaribagh, Giridih, Deoghar and Dumka.
The monsoon is expected to be most active over southern and central Jharkhand. Residents have been advised to avoid open fields, sheltering under trees and standing near electricity poles during thunderstorms.
Temperatures in Palamu, Garhwa, Chatra and Latehar may remain around 31–33°C, while relatively pleasant weather is expected in Ranchi, Khunti, Gumla, Simdega, West Singhbhum and Bokaro, where maximum temperatures may hover between 28°C and 30°C.
Weather conditions could be more intense in parts of Ranchi, East and West Singhbhum, Seraikela-Kharsawan, Khunti, Gumla and Bokaro, where rain, thunderstorms, strong winds and lightning may affect normal life.
