MoU Between Jharkhand Government and Indian Bank to Benefit Thousands of Health Workers: Chief Minister

Jharkhand News : An important Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Wednesday between the Jharkhand government and Indian Bank. The agreement is expected to benefit thousands of employees associated with the state health department and the National Health Mission (NHM).

The MoU was signed during a ceremony held at the Jharkhand Secretariat, where Chief Minister Hemant Soren was present and addressed the gathering.

In his address, the Chief Minister said that this agreement marks a new collaboration between the state government and Indian Bank, which will directly benefit employees working in the health sector. He described it as a significant initiative aimed at boosting the morale of healthcare workers.

Mr. Soren noted that health workers often operate in high-risk environments where the threat of infection remains constant. In such situations, insurance and financial security are essential so that they can perform their duties without worry.

He expressed confidence that the salary account and HRIS package offered under this MoU will provide financial security and better facilities to NHM employees, enabling them to serve with greater dedication.

The Chief Minister also congratulated Indian Bank officials, stating that the partnership would not only benefit healthcare workers but also contribute to the overall development of the state. He added that with the expansion of digital banking, the working population will become more connected to banking services in the future.

He urged all health department and NHM employees to make full use of this special package.

The event was attended by Finance Minister Radhakrishnan Kishore, Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari, Chief Secretary Avinash Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary of the Health Department Ajay Kumar Singh, Finance Secretary Prashant Kumar, and Indian Bank MD & CEO Vinod Kumar, along with several senior officials.
