Jharkhand News : The draft electoral roll for all polling stations in Ranchi district has been published under the Special Intensive Revision-2026. Following its publication, a large number of voters visited their respective polling booths to verify their names and personal details.
The Election Office has urged all eligible voters to check their details within the stipulated period and submit claims or objections, if required.
Separate Forms for Addition, Deletion and Correction
If the name of an eligible voter is missing from the draft electoral roll, they can submit Form 6 along with the required declaration to the concerned Booth Level Officer (BLO) for inclusion.
If a voter’s name has been listed at a polling station different from that of their family members, they can apply for a change of polling station by submitting Form 8.
Revision Based on October 1, 2026 Qualifying Date
Applications for addition, deletion, correction, or transfer of voter details will be accepted from August 5 to September 4, 2026, based on the qualifying date of October 1, 2026.
Citizens who will attain the age of 18 years on or before October 1, 2026, can apply for inclusion in the electoral roll using Form 6.
- Form 6: Addition of a new voter’s name.
- Form 8: Correction of details or transfer to another polling station.
- Form 7: Deletion of the names of deceased, shifted, or otherwise ineligible voters.
Claims and Objections Accepted Until September 4
Applications related to claims and objections can be submitted to the concerned Booth Level Officer (BLO), Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO), Electoral Registration Officer (ERO), or the District Election Office, Ranchi.
Voters can also submit their applications online through the Election Commission’s Voters Service Portal or the ECINet mobile application.
Deputy Commissioner Appeals to Citizens
Ranchi Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri has appealed to all eligible citizens to verify their names and details in the draft electoral roll within the prescribed period.
He urged voters to promptly report any errors or submit applications for addition, deletion, or correction so that the final electoral roll can be prepared as accurately and error-free as possible.
