NEVA Service Center Inaugurated in Jharkhand Assembly, Tablets Distributed

Jharkhand News : Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren participated in the training and tablet distribution program under the National e-Vidhan Application (NEVA) project during the 6th Jharkhand Legislative Assembly’s Fifth (Budget) Session 2026 on Wednesday. On the occasion, he formally inaugurated the NEVA Service Center in the Jharkhand Assembly.

Speaking at the event, Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that with the launch of the NEVA Service Center, a new era of digital and paperless legislative work has begun in the Jharkhand Assembly. Through the NEVA application, legislative processes will now be simpler, transparent, and timely. Members no longer need to visit the Assembly late at night to submit questions or complete paperwork, which will also ease the workload for Assembly staff.

Hemant Soren highlighted that nearly 20 state assemblies across India have already adopted NEVA for digital and paperless functioning. Jharkhand is now moving in the same direction. Members were trained on the various features of the application, and tablets were distributed to enable them to perform their legislative responsibilities digitally.

The Chief Minister also noted that digital tools will improve communication and coordination, reduce paper usage, and speed up processes. He emphasized cyber security and advised members to be aware of all safety aspects to prevent any manipulation of questions or documents.

On the occasion, Assembly Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahto, along with the Chief Minister, distributed tablets to all ministers, MLAs, and officials. Ministers, legislators, and Assembly staff attended the program.
