World News : At least eight people, including three Afghan cricketers, were killed in an airstrike carried out by Pakistan in Afghanistan’s border province of Paktika.
According to the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB), the players — Kabir, Sibghatullah, and Haroon — had travelled from Urgun to Sharan in Paktika to participate in a friendly cricket match. The ACB condemned the strike, calling it a “cowardly attack” by the Pakistani regime.
In response, Afghanistan has withdrawn from the upcoming triangular cricket series. The board has not released further details regarding the incident.
