Police Leaves Cancelled in Jharkhand During Durga Puja

Jharkhand News : As Durga Puja preparations commence across Jharkhand, the state police have been placed on high alert to ensure law and order during the festive season. The Director General of Police (DGP), Anurag Gupta, has issued key directives aimed at maintaining peace and security during the upcoming celebrations.

According to the Jharkhand Police spokesperson, all police personnel will have their leaves cancelled from September 20 to October 4. The decision has been taken in view of the large-scale deployment of forces required across all districts during Durga Puja.

Senior officers including Zonal IGs, Range DIGs, District SPs, and Commandants have been directed to ensure the availability of adequate force to handle any emergency situations effectively.

As per the official circular from police headquarters, leaves will only be granted under exceptional circumstances and with prior approval from concerned authorities. Police officers and personnel, from inspectors to constables, have been instructed to remain alert and vigilant during this period.
