President Droupadi Murmu in Jamshedpur, Jagannath Temple Foundation Laid

Jharkhand News : The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, arrived in Jamshedpur on Thursday from the state capital Ranchi. She received a grand welcome at Sonari Airport. Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Chief Minister Hemant Soren, and senior officials greeted her with bouquets.

Foundation Ceremony at Jagannath Temple Site in Kadma

The President’s first engagement was at the proposed Lord Jagannath Temple and Spiritual Center at Anil Sur Path in Kadma. She performed the ceremonial foundation laying (Bhoomi Pujan) amid Vedic chants. Priests from Puri Dham conducted the rituals according to traditional customs.

President Murmu actively participated in the ceremony with devotion. In her address, she emphasized that religious and spiritual centers play a vital role in strengthening cultural unity and promoting moral values in society.

Appreciation for RSB Group’s Initiative

The President appreciated the efforts of RSB Group’s Vice Chairman and Managing Director S.K. Behera and his team for initiating the project. In his welcome speech, S.K. Behera stated that the Spiritual Center would serve not only as a place of faith but also as a hub for social and cultural activities.

Dignitaries and Industry Leaders in Attendance

Several prominent leaders attended the event, including Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato, Singhbhum MP Joba Majhi, Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi, and Tata Steel Managing Director T.V. Narendran, along with representatives from various social and industrial organizations.

Visit to Tata Manipal College

After the foundation ceremony, President Murmu attended an academic program at Tata Manipal College. Tight security arrangements were in place across the city during her visit.

As per the scheduled program, the President was set to depart from Sonari Airport around 3:50 PM for Ranchi. Her visit created an atmosphere of pride and enthusiasm among the residents of Jamshedpur.
