Priest Suffers Heart Attack During Aarti in Ranchi, Dies at Temple

Jharkhand News : In a shocking incident in Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi, a priest suffered a suspected heart attack while performing aarti at a temple and later died. The incident took place at a temple located on Indrapuri Road No. 9 in the Ratu Road area.

The priest has been identified as Acharya Rajnikant Mishra. A video of the incident has surfaced on social media and is going viral. The footage reportedly shows the priest clutching his chest before suddenly collapsing at the place of worship.

According to devotees and eyewitnesses present at the temple, Acharya Rajnikant Mishra was performing the evening aarti as usual on Monday. The temple was filled with the sound of devotional songs and conch shells as devotees participated in the prayers.

During the aarti, Mishra suddenly felt unwell and experienced discomfort. Within moments, he lost consciousness and collapsed near the worship area.

Panic at Temple After Priest Collapses

The priest’s sudden collapse caused panic among devotees inside the temple. Those attending the aarti immediately rushed to help him.

Senior BJP leader Ramesh Singh and a large number of local residents were reportedly present at the temple at the time of the incident. Realising the seriousness of the situation, they immediately tried to take Acharya Mishra to a nearby hospital.

However, doctors declared him dead after examination. According to doctors, he had died before reaching the hospital.

Local residents described Acharya Rajnikant Mishra as a simple, gentle and deeply religious person. His sudden death while performing prayers has left devotees and local residents deeply shocked.

Temple staff said Mishra appeared completely healthy when he arrived at the temple. However, his condition suddenly deteriorated during the aarti, leading to his death.
