Jharkhand news : Panic gripped Tamad area in Ranchi on Thursday after a rabid dog went on a biting spree. The dog ran amok from Tamad to Raideeh and Amlesha, covering nearly 10 kilometers, and attacked 17 people, including schoolchildren returning home after classes.
According to villagers, the dog became uncontrollable, attacking anyone in sight before moving further. The incident has sparked fear and chaos in the locality, with residents now afraid to step out on the streets.
All the injured have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. Family members of victims have demanded strict action from the administration. However, forest department officials have not yet given any clear response regarding the incident.
