Silambam Association of Jharkhand Holds General Meeting, State Championship Scheduled for November 28–29

Jharkhand News : The Silambam Association of Jharkhand held its general meeting on July 19 at Hotel Blue Ridge in Argora, Ranchi. District representatives of the association from across Jharkhand participated in the meeting to discuss the promotion and development of Silambam in the state, as well as plans for organizing state-level competitions.

During the meeting, it was unanimously decided that the Jharkhand State Silambam Championship will be held on November 28 and 29 at Khelgaon, Ranchi. The championship will feature participants from various districts of the state, providing young athletes with an opportunity to showcase their talent.

The members emphasized that Silambam is not only an effective form of self-defense but also a traditional Indian martial art and sport. They stressed the need to promote the discipline across Jharkhand and create opportunities for young players to excel at the state, national, and international levels.

Representatives from Ranchi, Lohardaga, East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Seraikela-Kharsawan, Giridih, Khunti, Hazaribagh, Latehar, and several other districts attended the meeting.

Among those present were Association President Ramswarup kumar, Secretary Vinit kumar yadav, Treasurer Prakash Ravidas, along with Sandeep Kumar, Sneha Balmuchu, Gaus Khan, Sonu Kumar, Jai Govind Singh, Lav Kumar, Dilip Lohra, and other members.
