Jharkhand News : A grand inter-house Sanskrit recitation and debate competition was held today at the Dayanand Auditorium of Jawahar Vidya Mandir, Shyamali. The event aimed to foster critical thinking, argumentation skills, and public speaking abilities among students. Participants showcased remarkable command over language and ideas.

Sanskrit Recitation Competition
Students brought India’s rich spiritual heritage alive by reciting sacred verses such as Shiv Tandav Stotra, Madhurashtakam, Lakshmi Stotra, Ganesh Vandana, Ram Stuti, and Devi Vandana.

Second Prize: Ved Raj (Dayanand Sadan)

Third Prize: Sanvi (Rajendra Sadan)

English Debate Competition
For students of classes 6 to 8 (Sub-junior), the topic was: “Examinations are the best way to assess students”

Second Prize: Anvi Vaibhav and Abharna

Third Prize: Aadya Vishisht (Tilak Sadan)
Judges: Meenakshi Jha and Ghazal Mishra

For classes 9 and 10, the topic was: “Decline in Moral Values Among Today’s Youth”

First Prize: Shaurya Kumar Jha (Tilak Sadan)

Second Prize: Arsh Raj Veer Sinha (Dayanand Sadan)

Third Prize: Janhvi Shukla and Aanshika Singh (Dayanand Sadan)

Hindi Debate Competition
For classes 6 to 8, the topic was: “Social Media is Harmful for Society”

First Prize: Prateek Kumar (Tagore Sadan)

Second Prize: Divyansh Pandey and Arpit Kumar

Third Prize: Aditya Kumar and Anvi Vaibhav

For classes 9 and 10, students debated on: “Artificial Intelligence is Beneficial for Society”

Second Prize: Sushant Kumar (Tilak Sadan)

Third Prize: Aanshika Singh (Dayanand Sadan)
Judges: Anjana Singh and Pammi Mishra

Principal Samarjeet Jana congratulated all the winners, judges, and faculty for organizing a successful event. He praised the students’ enthusiasm and stated that such events are vital for holistic development.

The audience, comprised of fellow students, cheered loudly and attentively listened to the participants’ arguments.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks by A.K. Pathak, Mitali Sharma, and Vinita Kumari.
