- Teachers Do Not Only Impart Knowledge; They Guide Students’ Dreams and Build the Nation’s Future: Chancellor B. N. Sah
Jharkhand News : Radha Govind University celebrated Teachers’ Day and organised a felicitation ceremony with great enthusiasm and dignity on the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
On the occasion, University Chancellor B. N. Sah and Secretary Priyanka Kumari honoured the university’s officials, teachers and non-teaching staff by presenting them with angavastrams and bouquets.
The programme began with floral tributes being paid to the portraits of the university’s founders, late Govind Sah and late Radha Devi, as well as Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Students also presented melodious songs, music and cultural performances to welcome the guests.
University Registrar Prof. (Dr) Nirmal Kumar Mandal delivered the welcome address and highlighted the life of Dr Radhakrishnan and his significant contribution to the field of education. He said that teachers play an important role in shaping students’ lives by providing them with knowledge, values and the right direction.
Teachers Are the Foundation of Society and Nation Building
Addressing the gathering, Chancellor B. N. Sah said that teachers are the foundation of society and nation building.
“Teachers do not only impart knowledge; they guide students’ dreams and contribute to building a bright future for the nation,” he said.
He described the life of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan as a source of inspiration for all teachers and extended Teachers’ Day greetings to the faculty members and employees.
Secretary Priyanka Kumari said that honouring teachers is not merely honouring an individual but paying respect to knowledge, education and values. She congratulated all teachers for their dedication and contribution.
Education Guides Students Towards a Bright Future
Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr) Rashmi said that education is not merely a medium for imparting knowledge but also an important means of guiding students towards a bright future.
She appreciated the affection, guidance and inspirational leadership of teachers, describing their contribution as a constant source of inspiration for the university community.
The programme was efficiently conducted by Dr Ranjana Pandey and Dr Poonam Kumari.
Among those present were the Chancellor’s wife Phoolmati Devi, Finance and Accounts Officer Dr Sanjay Kumar, Controller of Examinations Prof. (Dr) Ashok Kumar, Management Committee Member Ajay Kumar and his wife Rani Kumari, Gaurav Kumar, Media In-charge Dr Sanjay Kumar Singh, heads of various departments, faculty members, non-teaching staff and a large number of students.
The entire समारोह concluded in an atmosphere of respect, enthusiasm and celebration.
