Jharkhand News : Himalayan Conclave 2025, themed “Voices for Climate Action – Climate Change: Countdown Begins,” is being hosted in Ranchi under the leadership of Rajeev Gupta, Founder and Director of Ideate Inspire Ignite Foundation (i3 Foundation). For the first time, 25 esteemed mountaineers from India and abroad will come together on one stage to share their experiences and perspectives on climate change, environmental responsibility, and sustainable adventure.

The event has received full support from the Jharkhand Department of Forest, Environment, and Climate Change. Through CAMPA infrastructure, the department is promoting eco-tourism and climate-resilient ecosystems while strengthening environmental consciousness across the region.

Major institutional partners and sponsors include Tata Steel, Adani Power, CyberPeace, RBL Bank, Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), FJCCI, Jeevah Healthcare, Dr. Pranita Institute of Health Sciences, Mission Blue Foundation, Digicro Consulting, and Pratigya Foundation. These organizations are united by a shared vision of climate awareness and sustainable development.

On August 3, the IMF Film Festival showcased inspiring films and documentaries focused on mountaineering and environmental challenges in the Indian Himalayas. Notable mountaineers engaged directly with the audience, discussing how adventure tourism can be a powerful platform for promoting ecological responsibility.

MoUs and Main Event Set the Stage for Climate-Focused Dialogue

Two important MoUs were signed.

  • The first, between i3 Foundation and Malla Treks Pvt. Ltd., Kathmandu, will offer Indian adventure enthusiasts opportunities to participate in Nepalese mountain expeditions.
  • The second, with Jamling Tenzing Norgay, introduces the Tenzing Norgay Excellence Award for Mountaineering, honoring significant summits across the Indian Himalayas and Mount Everest.

The main event, Everest Summit 3.0, will be held on August 4 at Shaurya Auditorium, JAP-1, Doranda, Ranchi. Key panel discussions will explore climate action, women in adventure sports, cybersecurity awareness, fitness and resilience, and exploration in the Indian Himalayas.
