Three Years of Darlings: Vijay Varma Shares Memories

Offbeat : It’s been three years since the Bollywood film Darlings was released. The character Hamza, portrayed by actor Vijay Varma, received immense love from audiences — a true testament to his acting prowess. On this occasion, Vijay Varma took to social media to share some unseen behind-the-scenes photos from the film and expressed his feelings through a heartfelt post.

He wrote on Instagram, “Three years of Darlings. Lots of love to the team and everyone who gave love to the film. Darlings, I love you.”

Darlings marked the directorial debut of Jasmeet K. Reen, with a story written by Parveez Sheikh. The film was produced under the banners of Red Chillies Entertainment and Eternal Sunshine Productions, with Alia Bhatt, Gauri Khan, and Gaurav Verma as producers.

The film starred Alia Bhatt, Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma, and Roshan Mathew in lead roles. Supporting roles were played by Vikram Pratap, Rajesh Sharma, Vijay Maurya, Santosh Juvekar, and Kiran Karmarkar.

Now, Vijay Varma is in the news for his upcoming projects. Audiences are particularly excited about his next series, Matka King. This crime-drama is being directed by Nagraj Manjule, who is acclaimed for films like Sairat and Fandry.

Set in 1960s Mumbai, Matka King follows the story of a cotton trader who introduces the city to a unique form of gambling known as matka, which soon spreads throughout the city. The series is being produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur and Nagraj Manjule under the banner of Roy Kapur Films.

Vijay will be joined by Kritika Kamra, Sai Tamhankar, Gulshan Grover, and Siddharth Jadhav in this much-anticipated series.
