Jharkhand News : A tree plantation drive was organized on Friday at the premises of Ayushman Arogya Mandir, Kulhi, under the leadership of Community Health Officer (CHO) Sumita Kumari. During the programme, several shade-giving and fruit-bearing saplings were planted to promote environmental conservation and create awareness about the importance of greenery.
Addressing the gathering, Sumita Kumari said that trees are the foundation of human life and play a vital role in maintaining a healthy environment. She urged every individual to plant at least one tree and take responsibility for its care, emphasizing that clean air, a healthy ecosystem, and a secure future for coming generations depend on preserving nature.
She also highlighted that large-scale tree plantation is essential to tackle the growing challenges of pollution and climate change. “Tree plantation should not remain a one-day campaign but must become a continuous commitment towards environmental protection,” she said.
Health workers and local residents also participated in the plantation drive and pledged to contribute to environmental conservation.
Among those present were Sahiya workers Sangeeta Devi, Asha Sinha, Holika Devi, Pinki Kumari, Baby Kumari, Mamta Kumari, Priyanka Kumari, Sadamuni Devi, Munita Kumari, Sheetal Patel, Beena Devi, Monika Kumari, and other health personnel.
