Tribal PhD Scholar Savita Meets CM Hemant Soren in Ranchi

Jharkhand News : Savita Kachhap, the youngest PhD scholar from the tribal community selected at IIIT (Triple IT), met Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday at the Chief Minister’s residential office on Kanke Road, Ranchi.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister congratulated Savita and extended his best wishes for her academic journey. To support her PhD studies, CM Hemant Soren handed over a cheque of ₹2 lakh as an incentive from the state government to her family member.

On this occasion, Savita informed the Chief Minister that she is a resident of Dungri Toli, Argora, Ranchi, and is currently staying at her grandmother’s house in Madhukam while pursuing her studies.

She further shared that at the age of just 24, she is the youngest candidate from the tribal community to be selected for a PhD program at IIIT Ranchi in the Electrical Communication Engineering discipline. Savita is also the first tribal research scholar in the technical field and has presented international novelty research work at IEEE.

Encouraging her, the Chief Minister urged Savita to continue her studies and research work with dedication and assured her of all possible support from the state government. Savita’s family members and others were also present during the meeting.
