More News : A horrific road accident in Maharashtra’s Nashik district claimed four lives and left six people seriously injured on Peth Road near the Chachadgaon toll plaza. A speeding Scorpio SUV, coming from the wrong direction, rammed head-on into an Ertiga car, police said.
The collision was so severe that both vehicles were completely mangled, trapping passengers inside and triggering chaos at the scene. Local residents immediately informed the police and ambulance services, who rushed to carry out rescue operations.
🔹 Wrong-Side Driving Caused the Accident
According to police, the Scorpio was being driven at high speed on the wrong side of the road, leading to the head-on collision with the Ertiga. The impact crushed the Ertiga, leaving its occupants stuck inside until rescuers managed to pull them out.
🔹 Three Members of One Family Killed
Among the deceased are three members of the same family from Rajsamand district, Rajasthan. The victims have been identified as:

The fourth victim was the Ertiga driver, Shahrukh Khan Farakat Khan (28), a resident of Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
🔹 Six Injured, Some in Critical Condition
Six people travelling in the two vehicles sustained serious injuries. They were rushed to Nashik District Hospital with the help of locals and police. Doctors said the condition of some of the injured remains critical.
🔹 Police Investigation Underway
Police have sent the bodies for post-mortem examination and initiated the process of registering a case against the Scorpio driver. Investigators are also probing whether the driver was under the influence of alcohol or if there was any mechanical failure in the vehicle.
The tragic incident has once again raised serious concerns over wrong-side driving, overspeeding, and road safety, prompting calls for stricter enforcement of traffic rules.
