Bihar News : As the political heat intensifies ahead of the 2025 Bihar Assembly Elections, a new C-Voter opinion poll has revealed surprising results regarding the state’s preferred chief ministerial candidate. According to the survey, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has emerged as the most popular choice for Chief Minister, overtaking incumbent Nitish Kumar, who has dropped to third place.
The survey suggests that Tejashwi Yadav enjoys the support of 36.5% of respondents, while Prashant Kishor, the founder of the Jan Suraaj Party, has surprisingly secured the second position with 23.2% backing. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, once hailed as ‘Sushasan Babu’ for his governance, now stands at 15.9%, followed by LJP (Ram Vilas) leader Chirag Paswan with 8.8% support.
The poll also examined which political alliance people trust most to solve Bihar’s problems. 36.5% of respondents expressed faith in the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance), 34.3% in the NDA, 12.8% in Jan Suraaj, while 9.4% said that no political front could effectively address the state’s challenges.
The C-Voter survey further indicated that the NDA, led by the BJP and JD(U), has a 40% chance of returning to power, whereas the RJD-led Mahagathbandhan stands close behind with 38.3%. The Jan Suraaj Party, making its debut in Bihar politics, has attracted 13.3% of voters as their third preference.
The upcoming first phase of polling, scheduled for November 6, has already charged up Bihar’s political atmosphere. With Tejashwi Yadav’s growing popularity and Prashant Kishor’s emergence as a significant player, the 2025 Bihar Assembly election is shaping up to be a closely contested three-way battle.
