Bihar News : In a tragic incident in Rohtas district, a man allegedly shot his wife and father before taking his own life late Monday night. The shocking event occurred in Dehra village under Bhans police station limits.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Roshan Kumar confirmed that the incident took place around 12:30 am, when Amit Singh first fired at his wife, Neetu Devi, causing panic in the household. Family members reportedly locked themselves inside a room out of fear.
Amit then stepped into the courtyard with his firearm, where his father, Shaligram Singh, attempted to stop him. In a fit of rage, Amit opened fire on his father as well, killing him on the spot. Moments later, he turned the gun on himself.
Police officials, along with the Bikramganj SDPO, reached the crime scene for investigation. According to Amit’s elder brother Rajesh Singh, the accused had been mentally unstable for some time.
Preliminary investigation suggests that Amit first shot his wife, then his father, and later committed suicide in front of the terrified family members. Forensic teams have collected all necessary evidence from the spot, and further investigation is ongoing.
