Iran Sets 3 Conditions to End War; President Masoud Pezeshkian Says Fighting with US–Israel Will Stop Only If Demands Are Met

World News : Amid the ongoing conflict with the United States and Israel, Iran has publicly outlined the conditions under which it is willing to end the war. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said the conflict would stop only if three key demands are accepted.

Iran’s Three Conditions for Ending the War

According to Pezeshkian, the war can end if:

  1. Iran’s “legitimate rights” are officially recognized internationally.

  2. Compensation is paid for the damage caused during the conflict.

  3. Strong international guarantees are provided to prevent any future attacks on Iran.

He said Tehran would be ready to end hostilities if these conditions are fulfilled.

Statement on Social Media

Pezeshkian shared the remarks on X, stating that during conversations with leaders of Russia and Pakistan he reiterated Iran’s commitment to peace in the region. However, he accused the “Zionist regime and the United States” of initiating the current conflict.

Impact on the Global Economy

Experts warn that the conflict is already affecting the global economy. Rising tensions in the Strait of Hormuz have disrupted the movement of oil tankers, increasing pressure on energy supplies. Nearly 20% of the world’s crude oil supply passes through this crucial route, so instability there could push up global oil prices and inflation.

How the Conflict Began

Reports suggest the conflict began on February 28, when the United States and Israel carried out a joint pre-emptive strike against Iran. In response, Iran launched drone and missile attacks on several Israeli cities.

Iran also targeted US military bases in Jordan, Iraq, and several Gulf countries, escalating tensions across the Middle East.

The war has now entered its second week, and there are currently no clear signs of de-escalation. Iran maintains that it seeks peace but insists that those responsible for starting the conflict must be held accountable.
