Bihar News : The Bihar government has announced that all cases registered against students and other participants during protests over alleged irregularities in the NEET (UG) examination will be withdrawn. The decision was communicated through an official order issued by the state’s Home Department.
According to the notification issued on July 27, the government stated that no punitive, retaliatory, or adverse legal action will be taken against individuals who participated in the protests held anywhere in Bihar up to 6:00 pm on July 26, 2026.
Arrested Protesters to Be Released
The Home Department also announced that students and other individuals arrested during or after the protests will be released. Authorities said the process of withdrawing the registered cases would be initiated in accordance with the government’s decision.

The order, signed by Chhatraneel Singh, Special Secretary of the Home Department, stated that the decision was taken in view of the protests over alleged irregularities in the NEET (UG) examination and the demands for greater accountability and reforms in the examination system and higher education sector.
