Bihar News : An eight-month-old baby went missing from Tiwari Tola in Bihar’s Maner police station area on Monday morning, triggering panic among the family. The family has alleged that a youth known as Vishal, who lived nearby, took the baby away on the pretext of giving him sweets. Police have launched a search for both the child and the suspected youth.
Bhola Saw, a resident of Badka village in Ara district and son-in-law of Ramprawesh Sah of Rambad, Maner, was living in a rented house at Devi Sthan, Maner, with his wife Aarti and their eight-month-old child. Vishal, a youth from Prem Tola, was reportedly staying in the room next to them.
Four days ago, Bhola Saw shifted from the Devi Sthan house to another rented accommodation in Tiwari Tola, near the residence of former MLA Shrikant Nirala.
Baby Taken Away on Pretext of Giving Sweets
According to the family, Vishal arrived at their house on Monday morning and took the baby with him after allegedly saying that he would give him sweets. He also took along another eight-year-old child from the neighbourhood.
Vishal reportedly took the older child to a sweet shop near Maner police station and gave him sweets. He then allegedly took the eight-month-old baby with him, saying that he would buy clothes for the child. He has been missing along with the baby since then.
The family said Vishal’s mobile phone has also been switched off. After searching for the child without success, the family informed Maner police.
Police Investigating Suspect’s Identity
The family told police that Vishal is originally from Uttar Pradesh and that information had emerged about him living under different identities. They have also alleged that Vishal was an assumed name and that the man was a Muslim youth who married a Hindu woman from Prem Tola while allegedly presenting himself as a Hindu.
However, these claims have not been independently confirmed by the police. It has also been alleged that his wife is currently in jail in connection with a case. Police are investigating all these aspects.
CCTV Footage Being Examined
Police are examining CCTV footage from the surrounding area as part of the search for the suspected youth and the missing child.
The disappearance of the infant has left the family distressed. Police are continuing efforts to trace the child and the suspected youth.
