Bihar News : The Bihar government, led by Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, is continuing its Sahayog Camp initiative to ensure the quick resolution of people’s grievances at the panchayat level. Since the campaign began in mid-May, camps have been organised in 6,533 of the state’s 8,032 panchayats.
Over the past three months, the camps have received 6,46,181 applications, of which 6,20,030 cases have been resolved. This accounts for around 96% of the total applications, while about 4% remain pending.
Target to Cover All Panchayats
The state government aims to extend the campaign to all panchayats through the next one or two rounds of camps. Sahayog Camps have already been organised across all 534 blocks of Bihar.
The camps are designed to address various public grievances at the local level. A maximum time limit of 30 days has been fixed for resolving applications received through the camps.
The Chief Minister’s Secretariat is regularly monitoring the progress to ensure that people do not have to repeatedly visit government offices to get their issues resolved.
Top 10 Districts in Case Resolution
The top 10 districts in terms of disposal of applications received through Sahayog Camps are Sheikhpura, Saharsa, Sheohar, Khagaria, Bhojpur, Jamui, Gopalganj, Arwal, West Champaran and Banka.
Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary launched the Sahayog Camp initiative on May 19, 2026, from Dumri Buzurg village in the Sonpur block of Saran district.
At the panchayat level, camps are being organised on the first and third Tuesdays of every month. A state-level camp is held on the second Tuesday, where the Chief Minister personally hears people’s grievances.
Grievance Redressal at Panchayat Level
The initiative is enabling people to seek solutions to their problems in or near their own villages. Officials from the concerned departments remain present at the camps to address various public issues.
The arrangement is reducing the need for repeated visits to government offices while helping people save both time and money.
Sahayog Camps to Continue
The campaign will continue even after Sahayog Camps have been organised across all the state’s panchayats. The government aims to ensure time-bound and speedy resolution of public grievances.
Sahayog Camps are therefore planned to continue at the panchayat level as part of the government’s effort to bring public services closer to citizens.
