Governor and CM Pay Tribute to Atal Bihari Vajpayee on His Death Anniversary

Bihar News : A tribute programme was organised at Patliputra Park in Patna on Sunday to mark the death anniversary of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Governor Lieutenant General (Retd.) Syed Ata Hasnain and Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary paid floral tribute to Vajpayee by garlanding his life-size statue.

Several state ministers, MPs, MLAs, members of the Legislative Council, public representatives and social workers were present at the programme. They also offered flowers at the statue and remembered Vajpayee’s contribution to the nation.

Leaders Pay Tribute to Vajpayee

Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar, Agriculture Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, Cooperation Minister Ram Kripal Yadav, Art and Culture Minister Dr Pramod Kumar, MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, BJP state president and MLA Sanjay Sarawagi, MLA Ratnesh Kushwaha, MLA Sanjay Kumar Gupta and Legislative Council member Kumud Verma, among others, paid tribute to the former Prime Minister.

During the programme, artists from the Information and Public Relations Department performed Aarti and Puja, followed by the national song, National Anthem, Bihar Song and patriotic songs.

Vajpayee’s Contribution Remembered

The programme also remembered Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s public life and contribution to the nation.

Vajpayee was one of India’s prominent political leaders and served as the country’s Prime Minister three times. Those present at the tribute programme recalled his contribution to the nation and his role in public life while paying their respects.
