IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2026: Last Date Extended to August 28 for 11,403 Posts

More News : The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has invited applications for 11,403 posts under the Customer Service Associate (CSA-XVI), or clerk, recruitment process for 2026. The last date to apply has been extended to August 28, 2026.

The recruitment drive will be conducted to fill clerical positions in public sector banks.

IBPS Clerk 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must hold a graduation degree in any discipline or an equivalent qualification from a recognised university. Working knowledge of computers is also required.

Applicants must also have knowledge of the prescribed local language of the state or Union Territory for which they are applying.

Age Limit for IBPS CSA-XVI Recruitment

Age will be calculated as of August 1, 2026. Candidates must be between 20 and 28 years of age.

Applicants must have been born not earlier than August 2, 1998, and not later than August 1, 2006. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, PwBD and other eligible reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per the applicable rules.

Application Fee

The application fee for candidates belonging to the General, OBC and EWS categories is Rs 850.

Candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen and other applicable reserved categories are required to pay Rs 175.

How to Apply for IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2026

Candidates can apply through the official IBPS website by clicking on the online application link for CRP CSA-XVI. After registration, applicants need to fill in their personal and educational details.

They must then upload their photograph, signature and required documents before paying the application fee. After submitting the form, candidates should keep a copy or printout of the application for future reference.

The last date to submit the application is August 28, 2026.

IBPS Clerk 2026 Exam Dates and Selection Process

Candidates will be selected on the basis of an online preliminary examination and an online main examination.

The preliminary examination is proposed to be held on October 10 and 11, 2026. The main examination is scheduled for December 27, 2026.

Candidates who qualify for the preliminary and main examinations will also have their proficiency in the local language of the concerned state or Union Territory assessed as per the prescribed procedure. Selected candidates will be appointed to clerical positions in public sector banks after completion of the recruitment process.
