Bihar News : The Bihar government has decided that the word ‘Fail’ will no longer be written on students’ marksheets and certificates. Bihar Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari announced on Thursday that the rules will be amended for this purpose.
The Education Department will soon issue the necessary instructions to the Bihar School Examination Board. The term ‘Eligible for Skill’ will be used on certificates instead of the word ‘Fail’.
Minister Says Students’ Morale Must Be Protected
Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari made the announcement during a review meeting held at Madan Mohan Auditorium in Vikas Bhawan.
He said that students’ morale needs to be protected. According to the minister, a child’s talent does not end simply because they fail to secure the expected marks in an examination.
For this reason, the word ‘Fail’ will no longer be used on certificates.

The initiative aims to give students an opportunity to prepare better and help ensure their success.

The function will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, while both Deputy Chief Ministers will also be present. The Chief Minister will also launch the Teacher Support Portal on the occasion.
One selected teacher from every district will receive a state award. Students from 10 model schools in Patna selected as Saraswati Vidya Niketan will also be invited to the programme.
