Government Stands with Flood Victims, Relief Distribution Must Be Expedited: Disaster Management Minister

Katihar: Bihar Disaster Management Minister Ratnesh Sada on Wednesday visited flood-affected Naya Tola, Ward No. 01, in Manihari block of Katihar district. During the visit, he distributed polythene sheets among flood-affected families and directed the district administration to ensure prompt relief for all affected households and expedite the distribution of GR (ex-gratia assistance).

The minister met flood-affected families and listened to their problems. He also reviewed the facilities being provided by the administration in the affected area.

Minister Reviews Relief Arrangements

During the inspection, Ratnesh Sada visited the community kitchen, animal relief camps, medical camps and arrangements for the supply of safe drinking water.

He said the state government stands firmly with every affected family during this disaster and will ensure that no citizen faces difficulties in accessing food or other basic facilities.

Officials Present During Inspection

Katihar District Magistrate Ashutosh Dwivedi, the Additional Collector (Disaster Management), and senior officials from various departments were present during the inspection.

The District Magistrate briefed the minister about the latest status of relief and rescue operations being carried out across the district.
