Ramgarh: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren performed traditional rituals in memory of his late mother, Rupi Soren, at his ancestral residence in Nemra on Friday morning. He followed local customs and family traditions, including the ritual of offering daatun (a traditional tooth-cleaning twig), water and food in his mother’s memory.
According to local traditions, the ritual is performed in the morning and evening as part of the observances for the departed. Hemant Soren completed the customary rites with his family members, observing the traditions with reverence.
Floral Tributes to Rupi Soren
During the family ceremony, the Chief Minister also offered flowers to his late mother’s photograph and paid tribute by lighting incense and a traditional lamp.
His wife, Kalpana Soren, and other family members were present during the observances.
The rituals reflected the family’s adherence to local customs and traditions while paying tribute to Rupi Soren.
