Ramgarh: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Sunday observed traditional social and cultural rituals in memory of his late mother, Rupi Soren, at his ancestral village of Nemra, with deep reverence and simplicity.

In keeping with tradition, the Chief Minister performed rituals involving the offering of a neem twig for brushing, water and food as part of the customary observances for the peace of his mother’s soul. With tears in his eyes, he remembered his mother and paid his heartfelt respects to her.
Family members, relatives and residents of Nemra village were present on the occasion as the Chief Minister observed the traditional customs in honour of his late mother.
