Home Guard Physical (Running) Test for Female Candidates from Patratu Postponed Due to Cyclonic Storm

Ramgarh: The physical efficiency (running) test for female candidates from the Patratu block, part of the ongoing Home Guard recruitment process in Ramgarh district, has been postponed. The district administration took this decision in light of adverse weather conditions—including heavy, persistent rainfall and waterlogging—caused by the cyclonic storm ‘Arnab’. Prioritizing the health and safety of the candidates, the test has been deferred until further notice.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rituraj stated that the running test for female candidates from the Patratu block was scheduled for Thursday. However, the inclement weather made conducting the test challenging. Given the situation, consultations were held with the candidates present at the venue, and it was decided—with their consent—to postpone the test.

The district administration has clarified that this postponement applies exclusively to female candidates from the Patratu block for October 29. Physical efficiency tests for other blocks in Ramgarh district will proceed as originally scheduled; therefore, candidates from those blocks are expected to appear for their tests according to their previously assigned dates and schedules.

A new date for the postponed running test for female candidates from the Patratu block will be announced in due course. Further updates regarding the examination will be made available on the official NIC website of the Ramgarh district administration and its official social media handles.

The administration has urged all concerned candidates to disregard any rumors and to regularly check official channels for information regarding the new date for the examination.
