Bihar CM Samrat Choudhary Reviews ‘Bihar Gati’ Projects, Stresses Timely Completion

Bihar News : The Bihar government has decided to assign 551 officers to one Saraswati Vidya Niketan (Model) school each as part of its plan to improve the education system. Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary issued the directions during a review meeting of the Education Department held on Thursday at Sankalp Sabhagar in Lok Sewak Awas.

The Chief Minister stressed the need to build a strong foundation for students’ brighter future through modern facilities, quality education and improved academic outcomes in government schools.

During the meeting, Education Department Secretary Rajiv Roushan gave a detailed presentation on the academic system and facilities available at model schools operating across the state. Bihar School Examination Board Chairman Dr. Tyagarajan SM also shared detailed information about the e-learning and 24X7 interactive digital learning platform.

One Officer, One Model School System

Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary said model schools operating across Bihar should be directly linked with government officers and the one officer-one model school system should be implemented effectively. The arrangement is aimed at ensuring the timely resolution of problems faced by the schools.

He also directed officials to ensure surprise inspections of the schools. Reporting on academic activities and daily work at the schools should be ensured at both the headquarters and district levels, he said.

Parent-Teacher Meetings Every Three Months

The Chief Minister directed model schools to organise parent-teacher meetings once every three months. The meetings will help ensure regular communication between parents and teachers regarding students’ academic progress and their educational needs.

He also directed officials to develop a system for regular meetings and guidance sessions with former students so that their achievements and experiences can benefit current students.

Focus on JEE, NEET and Digital Learning

The Chief Minister said talented students in Bihar should be provided better guidance and necessary educational resources to prepare for competitive examinations such as JEE and NEET.

He also directed officials to make the Bihar School Examination Board’s e-learning and 24X7 interactive digital learning platform more effective. The state should make maximum use of digital platforms to provide students with quality study material, guidance from subject experts and modern educational resources.
