Bihar News : The Bihar government has intensified its crackdown on corruption, negligence, and administrative irregularities in the Revenue and Land Reforms Department, initiating departmental proceedings against 12 revenue officials and employees. The action includes the framing of charge sheets, withholding of salary increments, and disciplinary proceedings against several officers.
Revenue and Land Reforms Minister Dr. Dilip Kumar Jaiswal said the state government is following a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption, negligence, and violation of departmental guidelines.
He said ensuring transparency, accountability, and timely public services in the revenue administration is a top priority, adding that no official found compromising public interest would be spared.
Charge Sheets Against Three Officers
According to the department, charge sheets have been framed against:
- Arvind Kumar, Revenue Officer-cum-Kanungo, Land Acquisition Office, Munger.
- Deepak Kumar, Circle Officer, Raghopur (Vaishali).
- Vandana Kumari, former Circle Officer, Bisfi (Madhubani).
Salary Increments Withheld for Five Officers
The department has also taken action, including withholding salary increments, against:
- Rajat Kumar Barnwal, Circle Officer, Gopalganj Sadar.
- Amlesh Kumar, Circle Officer, Ekma (Saran).
- Vishwajeet Nilankar, former Circle Officer, Goh (Aurangabad).
- Anshu Kumar Singh, former Circle Officer, Aurangabad.
- Rajan Kumar, former Circle Officer, Kalyanpur (Samastipur).
Meanwhile, departmental disciplinary proceedings are continuing against:
- Uday Shankar Mishra, former Circle Officer, Ramnagar (West Champaran).
- Ranbhu Thakur, former Circle Officer, Kurhani (Muzaffarpur).
- Anjali Kumari, former Circle Officer, Hajipur (Vaishali).
- Sudhir Kumar Onkara, former Circle Officer, Sasaram.
Action Against 82 Officials in Two Months
The Revenue Minister said the department has taken action against 82 officials and employees over the past two months. The cases involve allegations of corruption, irregularities in land mutation, negligence in official duties, indiscipline, and violation of departmental instructions.
Dr. Jaiswal reiterated that strict action against guilty officials and employees will continue in accordance with the rules as part of the government’s drive to improve governance and accountability in the revenue administration.
