32,388 Bihar Teacher Jobs in TRE 4.0, Registration Starts September 1

Bihar News : The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released the official notification for the fourth phase of the School Teacher Recruitment Examination, TRE 4.0, following a requisition from the Education Department. A total of 32,388 teachers will be recruited in government schools across Bihar under the recruitment drive.

The announcement has generated enthusiasm among B.Ed and D.El.Ed trained candidates preparing for government jobs within Bihar and outside the state.

Applications Begin on September 1

According to the official schedule released by the Commission, the online application process for the Teacher Recruitment Examination, TRE 4.0, will begin on September 1, 2026.

The last date for payment of the application fee is September 29, 2026, while the deadline for completing the online registration process is September 30, 2026.

New Prelims and Mains Exam Pattern

A major administrative and technical change has been introduced in the teacher recruitment process this time compared to the previous three phases of recruitment in Bihar.

The appointment process under TRE 4.0 will be completed through two stages—a Preliminary Examination and a Main Written Examination.

Candidates who qualify in the Preliminary Examination will have to submit a separate online application for the Main Examination.

Post-Wise Teacher Vacancies

Under BPSC TRE 4.0, the available posts at different teaching levels are as follows:

  • Primary Teachers, Classes 1 to 5: 3,847 posts
  • Middle School Teachers, Classes 6 to 8: 8,563 posts
  • Secondary and Higher Secondary Teachers, Classes 9 to 12: 16,101 posts

Before TRE 4.0, a total of 2,26,651 teachers had already been appointed through three phases of recruitment conducted by BPSC in Bihar.

Following the latest recruitment announcement, candidates have expressed relief. B.Ed-trained and Teacher Eligibility Test-qualified candidates preparing in different districts of Bihar said the continued recruitment drives have created a positive employment environment and strengthened prospects for a better future in their home state.
