- Chief Minister pays tribute to Shibu Soren on his first death anniversary, recalls his lifelong struggle for Jharkhand
Jharkhand News : Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren paid a heartfelt tribute to former Jharkhand movement leader and Padma Bhushan awardee Dishom Guru Shibu Soren on his first death anniversary on Tuesday.
The Chief Minister visited Shibu Soren’s residence in Morabadi and offered floral tributes to his portrait. Shibu Soren’s wife Rupi Soren, MLA Kalpana Soren and other family members also paid their respects and remembered his long struggle, contribution and ideals.
Speaking to the media, Hemant Soren said Dishom Guru had dedicated his entire life to the struggle for the rights of Jharkhand and its people. He said Shibu Soren continues to be remembered with deep respect and admiration across the state.
Shibu Soren’s Ideals Will Remain an Inspiration
The Chief Minister said Jharkhand is a land of brave people who have consistently fought for their rights and dignity. Several brave sons of the state made the supreme sacrifice during these struggles, and their contributions will always be remembered with reverence.
Hemant Soren said that although Shibu Soren is no longer physically present, his struggle, ideas and contribution will remain immortal. He devoted his life to protecting the rights and promoting the welfare of indigenous communities, tribals, deprived sections and the exploited.
He said it is the collective responsibility of everyone to fulfil Dishom Guru’s dreams and work for the overall development of Jharkhand based on his ideals.

Hemant Soren said Shibu Soren’s struggle, sacrifice and dedication would continue to inspire future generations. His contribution towards protecting Jharkhand’s identity, dignity and rights remains unforgettable.
The Chief Minister said Dishom Guru had envisioned an equitable, just and prosperous Jharkhand, and the state government is working with full commitment to turn that vision into reality.
On the occasion, Hemant Soren also paid homage to all the brave martyrs of the Jharkhand movement and remembered their sacrifices.
