Chatra DC Ravi Anand Reviews Operations at NTPC North Karanpura

Chatra/Tandwa: Chatra Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ravi Anand, IAS, visited the NTPC North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Project in Tandwa on Thursday and reviewed key operational aspects, including coal management, power generation and resource utilisation.

During the visit, Manish Khetrapal, Head of Project (HOP), NTPC North Karanpura, briefed the Deputy Commissioner on the current operational status of the project, coal requirements and availability, coal handling arrangements and power generation activities.

The discussions covered coal stock management, ash management and other important operational aspects of the 3×660 MW power project. The NTPC team also apprised the visiting officials of various measures being undertaken to ensure uninterrupted power generation and efficient utilisation of resources.

DC Ravi Anand interacted with senior NTPC officials and reviewed arrangements related to the smooth functioning of the project. The visit also highlighted the importance of coordination between NTPC and the district administration on matters of mutual interest.

Senior officials from the district administration were present during the visit. From NTPC, Ajay Kerhalkar, GM (O&M), Ganpati Bhatt, GM (Maintenance), Junaid Jawaid, GM (ME), and Tanmoy Dutta, AGM (HR), along with other senior officials, attended the meeting.
