Bihar News : Air connectivity between Bihar and Madhya Pradesh has received a boost with the launch of a direct flight between Patna and Bhopal on Monday. The new service will eliminate the need for passengers to change flights in Delhi, Mumbai or another city while travelling between the two destinations.
The direct connection is expected to significantly reduce travel time. It will particularly benefit passengers travelling to Madhya Pradesh for work, education, business and medical purposes.
Flights to Operate Three Days a Week
According to Patna Airport Director C.P. Dwivedi, the new service is being operated by Alliance Air. As per the scheduled timetable, flights will operate three days a week—Monday, Wednesday and Sunday.
The aircraft will depart from Jayaprakash Narayan International Airport in Patna at around 1:40 pm and arrive at Raja Bhoj Airport in Bhopal. A direct return flight from Bhopal to Patna will also be available.
Journey to Take Around Two and a Half Hours
The direct flight between Patna and Bhopal will take around two and a half hours. The return flight is scheduled to arrive in Patna at around 7:35 pm.
A 70-seat aircraft will operate on the route. The direct service will provide passengers with a faster alternative to connecting flights.
Starting Fare Around ₹4,600
The starting airfare from Patna to Bhopal is around ₹4,600. However, fares may vary depending on the booking date, seat availability and demand.
The new direct service will also make it easier for passengers travelling from Bhopal and other parts of Madhya Pradesh to reach Patna. The service is expected to strengthen air connectivity between Bihar and Madhya Pradesh.
