Bihar News : Former Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar visited the historic Bakhorapur Maa Kali Temple in Barhara block of Bhojpur district on Monday, where he offered prayers and sought blessings for the peace, prosperity, and development of Bihar and the nation.
Nitish Kumar was accorded a warm welcome by the temple trust upon his arrival. He performed traditional rituals inside the temple’s sanctum sanctorum and prayed for the well-being and progress of the people.
Following the puja, members of the Bakhorapur Kali Temple Trust, led by its president B.D. Singh, submitted a memorandum to the former chief minister. The memorandum outlined several demands, including the development of the temple and the organization of the Bakhorapur Mahotsav through the Bihar Tourism Department. Nitish Kumar assured the delegation that their demands would be considered and appropriate action would be taken.
Tight security arrangements were put in place for the visit, with police personnel deployed across the temple premises and senior administrative officials monitoring the security measures.
Among those present were Bihar’s Planning and Development Minister Bhagwan Singh Kushwaha, Sandesh MLA Radha Charan Shah, Barhara MLA Raghvendra Pratap Singh, along with a large number of NDA workers and local residents.
