Bihar News : Amid the rising Ganga water level in Bihar, Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary inspected various Ganga ghats in Patna on Thursday and reviewed the situation amid the possibility of flooding. He took stock of the conditions in affected and vulnerable areas and directed officials to remain fully alert, with the safety of the public as the top priority.
CM Reviews Ganga Water Level and Embankment Status
During the inspection, the Chief Minister assessed the current Ganga water level and the situation in surrounding areas. He sought detailed information from officials about changes in the river’s water level, the condition of embankments and areas vulnerable to waterlogging.
The Chief Minister said the situation was changing continuously and directed the administration to remain alert at every level so that any emergency could be dealt with in time.
Flood Relief and Rescue Preparations Reviewed
CM Samrat Choudhary directed the concerned departments and district administration to complete all necessary preparations in advance in view of the possibility of flooding. He said there should be no delay in relief and rescue operations.
He also directed officials to ensure the continuous presence of administrative and relief teams in vulnerable areas. In the event of flooding, arrangements should be made to move affected people to safe locations without any difficulty.
Relief Camps to Be Activated if Needed
The Chief Minister directed officials to immediately activate relief camps if required. He said adequate arrangements must be ensured at the camps for food, drinking water, medicines and other essential facilities.
He said the government’s primary objective was to prevent inconvenience to the public and ensure the safety of life and property.
Continuous Monitoring of Ganga Water Level Ordered
CM Samrat Choudhary directed officials to continuously monitor the Ganga water level and take immediate necessary action if there was any indication of danger.
During the inspection, administrative officials briefed the Chief Minister about areas that could potentially be affected by flooding and the preparations made so far. The government has directed officials to give priority to monitoring and preparedness in vulnerable areas.
