Bihar News : The Bihar government is organising the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2026 to promote patriotism, national unity and public participation ahead of Independence Day. As part of the campaign, a grand Tiranga Yatra will be held in Patna on August 10, 2026.
Art and Culture Minister Dr Pramod Kumar said at a press conference on Saturday that effective implementation of the campaign is being ensured at the district and block levels. The initiative includes the availability and distribution of the national flag and efforts to maximise public participation in schools, colleges and public institutions.
Every Block to Receive 4,000 Tricolour Flags
Dr Pramod Kumar said several activities will be organised during the campaign, including Tiranga rallies and marches, ‘Selfie with Tiranga’, tricolour-themed lighting, Tiranga rangoli and collective singing of ‘Vande Mataram’.
He said each block will be provided with 4,000 Tricolour flags. The flags will be supplied through Jeevika.
Yatra to Start from JP Golambar
The minister said the Bihar government will organise the Tiranga Yatra in Patna on August 10. Led by Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, the yatra will begin at 10 am from JP Golambar and proceed to Kargil Chowk.
Dr Pramod Kumar said the event is not merely a march but a celebration of patriotism, national unity and public participation. He said the Tricolour represents the sacrifice, struggle, contribution and pride of millions of Indians.
According to the minister, the objective of the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign is to take this spirit of national pride to every section of society and create an emotional connection between citizens and the national flag.
Security and Traffic Arrangements in Place
The minister said responsibilities of various departments have been assigned at a review meeting chaired by the Chief Secretary to ensure the successful organisation of the event.
A joint inspection of the yatra route has already been conducted. Barricading and tricolour-themed decorations are being carried out along the entire route.
From the security perspective, route sanitisation, deployment of adequate police personnel and magistrates have been ensured. Arrangements have also been made for traffic management, crowd control and emergency evacuation.
